Is chai tea made from chia seeds?

That is a great question.

They are spelled similarly and are both from plants; it makes sense to question is chia and chai the same thing.

Chia seeds can also be ground into chia powder which also has great addition to beverages, salads baked goods.  Chia powder is especially useful if you do not like the texture of chia seeds.

Chai is the word for tea in Hindi, but contrary to popular belief, chai is not an ancient Indian drink.

How to use Chai tea?
